please could someone shed some light if possible. When i try to encode a avi/divx/xvid etc to dvd my computer freezes after about 5 minutes. I didnt have this problem before. It has just started to recently happen.I have tried numerous encoding programs (just the ones i have always used)but to no effect. I havent installed anything different. but all of a sudden its started to freeze.I tried reformating my computer hoping this would work.But it still freezes. any possible suggestions would be great. cheers. I now have a shit load of files that need encoding!!
Well if your using TMPGEnc, try disabling your screen saver- when the screen saver kicks in, it casues TMPGEnc to freeze. Hope it works for you.
Is it a problem with just one file or several files? It could be a hardware problem if your answer is several. I know CCE SP crashes if ther eis any overheating. What encoder are you using?
it could be anything from 1 to 3 files. normally use dvd santa or divx2dvd maybe dvd creator 6. been working fine till last week. thinking it could be hardware. but which!!
download something like Mother Board Monitor, and run it. It will let u know what temp its currently at, keep it on while encoding (the temps will appear in the lower right coer of thew screen) watch if it rises fast (a rise is ok, considering the pcu is at 100% usage)
no problem, if it is just heating up usually i can be solved by fan replacement or something,. doesnt cost much either!
me again lol sorry, it could also be a codec problem i have gotten complaints lately from ppl who have had problems with xvix codec, so that cud be it
