while capturing some video in windows movie maker, my computer locked up. i had captured about an hour and a half of footage from my xbox at this time, and needless to say, i was quite upset. movie maker captures the video into a .tmp file, and then once finished, it will encode it into a .wmv file for use. but this encoding isn't a standalone option. is there any way i can take this raw data from the .tmp file and make it into a useable format (mpg, avi, wmv, anything i can edit)? ~Andrew
tried, that...doesn't work is there a possibility that someone could extract the coding from movie maker that does the encoding from .tmp to .wmv and make a stand alone app? asking a lot i know, but i have over 2 hours of video i don't want to lose. ~Andrew
