For some reason, everytime I try to encode Ultraviolet to a DivX or XviD file, the audio doesn't sync up at all (voices don't fit lip movement; sounds occuring before they're supposed to, basically). I've been using Dr. DivX and Gordian Knot, but neither is working.

The strange thing is that when I preview the movie in Dr. DivX before encoding, everything syncs up fine. But after it's actually encoded, it doesn't.

I obviously already ripped the files to my hard drive via the methods provided on Afterdawn (using Ripit4me, DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink), but I'm just trying to get it down to a 700MB DivX (or XviD) file for my own personal use on my computer (nothing illegal).

Try using the one click transcoding tool Auto Gordian Knot and see if you still get problems.

Alrighty, I'll try that and then respond (or edit this post) with the results. Thanks!

Edit: No, still not working after trying Auto Gordian Knot. It still doesn't sync properly.
