encoding with roxio 8 pc shuts down

hi guys I have a sony dv camera I can take get the video stored on my hard drive but when I go to encode to burn it to dvd with roxio 8 it gets to about 3 or 4% and then shuts the pc down?
any help would be great

 

You are better off going to the Roxio forums and starting a thread, explaining exactly what steps you have taken to try to burn thevideo.
