I recently took some 30-second videos on a Sony Cybershot digital camera, but when I download them to burn them onto disc, they are so dark, I can't see any details. On the camera, they look fine. Any suggestions on how to brighten these up and enhance them without losing quality? I tried virtual dub, but the video looks horrible after I make it so that I can see details - pixelated, splotchy, and the color is off. I couldn't tell the shapes apart anymore.

I'd have said use VirtualDub but since you're not satisfied with the end result, try capturing the video with Windows Movie Maker.

I'll try that. The real problem may be me -- I'm used to working with still images in various graphics programs, but I can't get the same kind of results on video.
