Ok, I burnt all 4 discs and was able to get it installed. When I went to play the game tho it asked me to put in the correct cd.

So I read here on the forums that I needed a "play" cd and an "install" cd. Thanks to Shoey :) I downloaded a BWA file... renamed it the same as my bin and put it in the same folder, burned it with BlindWrite and it is still asking me for the correct cd. I followed the BlindWrite guide someone here posted to the tee. Does anyone know what I did wrong? I feel like Im so close but Im such a noob I have to be missing something. And this safedisk sucks! I have had no problem backing up unprotected games. The nerve! lol Thanks for all of your help!

EDIT: I think I know what my problem is... I probably got a bumb BWA file huh? Im sorry for asking the question then... lol

But now I have another. What other sites can you d/l BWA's from? I went to some of the ones listed here in the forum and I cant read German. lol

    Sorry all

Most likely m8 as not every bwa file will work.
Are you using BlindWrite 4.25? Read the images of all 4 discs at 8x and burn the SecuROM 4.8.x protected cd(s) at 8x as well. Try this link for alternative bwa file downloads. If you're still unsuccessfull after 3 tries, give the CloneCD\TwinPeaks route a go.

hi guys. anyway, in response to your question, it might work if you use a virtual drive instead of a CD. alcohol & daemon come with virtual drives. just mount the image and it may work

    Hope it helps

Using emulation should be the [bold] last [/bold] scenerio when backing up SecuROM 4.8.x or Safedisc 2.8-2.9. I prefer (along with numerous others) to have a working backup on hard disc (cd-r) rather than to just mount the image, then play from a virtual stealth drive emulator.
If your burner can read\write sub-q channel data\audio, then one "should" be able to make successful backups of SecuROm 4.8.x [bold] without [/bold] using emulation. I'm [/bold] not [/bold] against people who have to rely on emulation or play a pc protected game from a dvd\cd-rom emulator but it's my job here to teach nOObs how to make a successfull backup of pc protection to hard disc without the aid of emulation (if applicable).
