if you scanned and the channels have not come back then you could try a factory reset(to find this you need to go to expert settings menu)then scan again.what channels are you missing,i know setanta channels seem to have been moved to another frequency.if you do a factory reset you will need to reset things like clock and pin number if you have one and your parental settings.
try the blue button.or try menu,shutdown and reboot,it should say on screen something like evocamd on when you do this.
are you getting free to air channels(if yes then we have a signal,if not you need to check all your connections,if you have a splitter try scanning without it)when did you flash it,and what channels did you have before you did factory reset(if you only had free to air then you may have to flash with newer firmware)did you make sure to scan on your correct provider,and set default key as mooley said.you should have free to air channels.
i tried all the providers still no joy i had the box flashed in february i have got some music channels
there is no reason it should not work so,did you set default key switch on emu and go to sky sports or sky one and wait a bit.that firmware should be fine so,have you tried entering the code manualy(maybe the code was cleared in keyslist,typing it back in would get the tv back ,and if it did, go back in and change one digit and see will the box then auto update)it seems its not doing this.
i put the new codes in and still nothing maybe it needs flashed agian i had to send the box to scotland the last time i know very little about comps could you tell me how to get the software to flash the envision make it as simple as possible thanks
when you put the code in,did you press exit then red to save then exit and red to save again,and then menu ,then shut down and reboot,then go to sky sports or sky one and wait.if you put in the correct codes and put them in and saved them correctly they should have the box working.try plugging the box out for a bit and re try all the steps again.to flash the box you first need to download a loader called dreamup(this will send the updated firmware to your box)then you need to download the updated firmware,suitable for the uk(the firmware is what unlocks the channels)you will need a null modem cable 9 pins(if you have a 9 pin serial port on your pc)if not you will also need an usb serial adaptor cable(you simply attach one end of the null modem cable to your box and the other end attaches in to the serial adaptor,and then of course the other end of the adaptor attaches to any usb port on your pc).you will need a driver(that is a program to help the pc to locate the new serial cable and enable it to work between your pc and your box)this will be either on a disc free with the usb to serial cable or you will need to download it.also if your pc is a newer type and runs on windows vista thats not good as it would seem vista will not work (in the cases that i know of)to flash boxes.so you will need to locate or get the use of an older pc with windows xp.that said you may just have missed something small while following the instructions,so try everything once again before paying any money out and try and be cool,a cool head will find something missed quicker than a hot head.best of luck
i have done everything you have told me to do put in new codes rebooted left in on sky sports un pluged still nothing
one last thing check that the codes you put in are the correct up to date codes,is the box even trying to up date codes(it would say on the screen updating and a percentage sign)i cant give you codes as its a forum rule,have one check around and see if your codes you have are correct.even if your box wont auto update it should work by entering the correct code and saving and then rebooting.when you entered the code did you alter the whole line what i mean is now im in ireland so it may be a bit different but where you enter the code it should look something like this(n5401 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 a1 b2 june 1 09, this is not a real code for learning purposes only)the n5401 is a network id in ireland yours will be 5a01 i think(you dont alter that part you scrol right to the first part of the code after the 00 and enter any changed code press ok and go to the 01 line and same thing)the codes i have are for tw are dated 1/6/09 so have a look,if you altered the network id change it back to 5a01 or choose another 2 lines of code as long as they are 00 and then 01.i cant think of any other reason it wont work only that or that you have to reflash with new firmware,i can instruct you on that once you have your cables etc.you said you sent the box back once before why was that.
i sent the box up to scotland to get it flashed i did not know how to do it i tryed the dreamup flash now the box is completely dead what do i do now
