    I bought an Epson R200 for $99 from a local Houston area Best Buy store a couple months ago so I could print directly to my CD's & DVD's. My Sharpie days are over!! It replaced a still working Lexmark X63 that I seldom used. Guess I'll dump the Lexmark on Ebay along with two fresh filled (at Walgreens) cartidges. They cost me about $45 to refill a $20 discount from new ones.

    You can stretch the image a little larger than the disc to cover it all.
    Just drag the sides of the image and will stretch.

    @AlBundy............
    Do you have your "Outer Diameter" set to 118mm?
    "Inner Diameter" should be around 33mm - 18mm or 20mm (depending on disc being used).

    Also, if possible, scan the labels for the discs (using button of pic under the "ABC" button). Then you can stretch the pic to fit, like Newbious mentioned. If you drag and drop the pic, from a download, to the template, it will be put on as the background. You'll pretty much have to live with what you get. Then you can't drag the points to adjust. Using the second from bottom (green disc) button, you can adjust the background a little, but it's basically just centering it, not stretching it. So, when possible, scan the original, to get it to fit better.
    Good luck!

    @rick5456.............
    I never realized that import would do that. Thanks for the info. I learned something.

    But, 118mm on the "Outer Diameter", will print to the edge. Has worked with every brand disc I've tried. Never had a white line around the outside. I was scared it would overspray the ink, into the printer itself, if set higher than 118mm. Try it yourself. I [bold]have[/bold] had a white line around the inside (center) hole though. I have the R200, and the software only goes down to 20mm for the "Inner Diameter". I know the newer software goes down to 18mm, so that should not have a white ring in the center.

    No......... I looked on their site. No software to be found. I emailed them about an upgrade. They wanted me to pay, and they would send me a disc. I told them to forget it. I wasn't paying for something that should be free.

    I downloaded the software for the R300, from a post someone had made, a little while back. Haven't installed it yet. I was told it will work. I'll get to it one of these days, soon......

    I've got a question.......

    I disconnected my HP printer( no longer using at all )

    Now I just have my Epson R300 hooked up. Is there a way that when my PC turns on, so does my Epson printer ?

    My HP would always turn on when my PC was turned on.

    Currently when I want to use my Epson, I have to always manually turn the printer on.

    Hi,

    Whilst this thread touches on printing I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to print a CD booklet? I use CoverXP for all my printing but Ive realised that im going to have to be able to print on both sides to get the desired results.

    Any help much appreciated

    so I recently bought an R220 (the only Epson model in stock that I could find in stores) for the sole purpose of CD/DVD labels (I have another printer for all other tasks) and was wondering if the the R3-- series has any notable upgrades for CD/DVD labeling that would be worth searching and spending more on. For example better software, sturdier hardware, etc.

    Also, I have some white inkjet printable DVDs that I have already written on with a black sharpie and I was wondering if I printed over the label would I still see the black writing that I had done previously? Thanks for any help.

    I'm afraid you will see the writing you did before, if you print on top of it. The printer doesn't use a thick layer of ink, so it doesn't cover up.

    As far as I know, there's no upgrades. The software is already excellent, and the hardware itself is as sturdy as any printer I've seen. It doesn't really need an upgrade.

    Sorry, if that's not what you wanted to hear.........
