Ok ..... I have played around a little and came up with this .... Since some guy's and gals may be interested in making their own now .... Here is a little something to guide them along. I used fireworks as my image editor so things may be a little different depending what you use ..... hope it helps. Since the guide may be a bit big to put here I just threw it all on a simple web page ....

    http://www.petawawabassmasters.com/DVD/

You can also get a printable version there as well.

    Cheers ....

I had a question about ink for the epson r200/300s, has anyone here tried the pigment based one? I read it was water resistant, Im guessing that dosent really mean water proof :/
Does the quality of the pictures change? Or is it better quality with pigment types? Any input appreicated, thx! :)

    To bbmayo:

Hello, do you have any susgestions on where to find DVD Disc symbols, like DVD Logo, Widescreen and possibly Movie Studio logos too.

I have used frame grabs and made B&W logos but it would be better if there was a dedicated font. I am aware of Combi Symbols AV but this is expensive, any insight into free symbol fonts?

    Thanks
    M

For the dvd logos i suggest a quick visit here http://www.incomplete.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/covers.html the cover tutorial here is coming along nicely, and the logos are here as well. They were down a moment ago but if u email him and ask nicely i am sure he would be happy to oblige. He does make some cracking covers.

There's another good source for original cover art that i use. it usually take a little adjusting but i'm very pleased, its also alot quicker that scanning. Check out the movie poster websites. theres usually really good jpegs of the original movie posters which can be used for covers. try these

I need help with the Epson R200 settings. I uses hub printable media and each time I print a label, there is always white on either the left or right or top or bottom. I've tried everythig, changing the inner specs and outer specs. I've even tried shifting template up or down or left and right...nothing seems to ever get 100% all of the media....there's always some white showing.

someone postes 23 inner and 118 outer, but that still shows white on some edge. Is this normal?

    mine is 22 118..

if you have white just make the printing surface bigger, you can just wipe of the extra if there is any.. but 22 inner is perfect for me, no excess.

I've taken the print surface all the way to 120 and I still get white on an edge (either left, right, up or down)

how much of the edge?, is it because the printing surface on the edges isnt flat, therefor it cant print on it?

ive seen some media that has half a millimeter that just curves downward at the end.

dont know what to say, ive had 2 and they both worked first try.. id recommend buying g05 hub printables.

and ive never had to mess with the center settings before,

U have too set your inner diameter too.I set for all hub printable....outer 120....inner 20
Never import background....Always import from file & size yourself
in your printer settings..click properties & set to ICM...Best quality for DVD printing

It's about like a half millimeter onrhw edge. I use Ridata Hub printables that were highly recommended by this site. I order from Linkyo Corp whick was a link provided in the forum.

I have the inner cirle set to 20 and outer 120. I only set my printer on text to save ink. The final quality is excellent so I didn't see a need to bump it up to best DVD quality.

yeah its not your printer, its only the discs.. make sure they are real ridata, Mine are ridatatoo.. they are ritek g05's, i think its the same company or somethin? make sure they are real, just download a program off here to find out the make. you only need the inner to be at 22 mill though, thats what mine is and its perfect.

but if its only half a mill off, then its probobly the disc, if you look closely at the surface, you might see how it lowers down towards the ends and the jet cant reach it. Ive never had it happen on the outter area, but ive had it happen on the inner one.

    not common though

I actually got them from supermedia.com. They are said to be Ritek Ridata G05 8X DVD-R white inkjet hub printable. Jetyi83, where do you order yours from?
