Hey people. I bought an Epson R360 printer. Installed okay. Im running windows XP SP2. Theres a program that gets installed with it called "Epson disc printer" or something like that, and suprise suprise you use it to print on the dvd's. Its a little like nero cover designer they way that theres a template of a disc and you need to make your cover. So yeh, when it installed, i double clicked this program to open it. ANd it said that one of the .dll files were missing. So it couldnt open. So i went to www.dll-files.com and found the file. Downloaded it. Put it in the program directory. Wooo. It worked. The program opened. Then i spent ages making my cover, clicked "file -> Print". Then it came up with a message saying "The Epson driver used to print on cd's/dvd's is not installed." So i cant print with it. Ive scoured the net and theres noting i could find. All the damn shop could do was to send another install disc which was just the same. My next steps to contact epson which i really dont want to do.
comb the install CD for any .ini files and try and install the driver using those, if no luck, I doubt there's much you can do, the install CD might be bugged.
how do i go about trying to install that driver? SOrry, im pants at printers... Oh, and we got numerous install discs sent to us in replacement, they are all the same. Maybe its something to do with it being xp SP2?
I doubt it, go through the add new hardware wizard and see if anything comes up, or look for any yellow icons in your device manager list.
