Hi all... im not usually a noob like this, using my first post as a help request..

But i really do need some help with my failed softmod attempt (using hotswap to XBOXHDM > nDure)

My walkthrough of what i did:

    1. hotswaped to PC
    2. Wiped XBOX FATX table [Bad idea, i know]
    3. created new xbox hd from scratch
    4. replaced hd with another (13gb fujitsu MP3136AT)
    5. Plugged other hard drive (Retail) into PC power supply and tried booting.. HDD wouldnt spin up and wont on xbox either anymore.
    6. Formatted other hard drive to FATX using from scratch.
    7. Tried booting xbox, went to error 13.. Error 14 with Slayers 2.7 in drive.
    8. Posting here asking for help .. :(

I have been reading forums everywhere, and as far as i can tell, i need to get a modchip..

Please help guys.. im sure ive added enough info and i really would appreiciate it if this xbox could be fixed... its my step brothers and he asked me to softmod it for him.

Dude... where the hell were you getting your info from!?

If you hotswap, you CAN'T unplug the HDD to change it to another one!

Softmod is all simple commands using an exploit in a ga,e, there's no need for crazy, unstable hotswapping!

So where are you now? The 13GB drive is dead?

Does the original still work? If so, refer to my tutorials (click my signature) and find your error code, it will show you what to do!

You only need a modchip or eeprom reader if you are suffering Error 5 or 6!

    Otherwise, refer to my tutorials!

Yes, but seeing as i don't have the working original hard drive, i cant get the drive locked again so i wont be able to boot even if i do get past error 13/14.

So i need a Modchip.. thanks for helping me confirm this ^^.

You're not listening! You can't get to Error 13+ without already passing the Error 5\6!

If you are getting the Error 13, your HDD is unlocking correctly, however it is failing on dashboard launch!

Follow my tutorials to repair the error you are receiving and your Xbox will work, this is what I do!
