xbox 1.6. error code 07. ive checked and replaced the ide cable and i get nothing. what can i do?? can i do anything?? will a mod chip un-screw my xbox or is it even un-screwable?? if a mod chip will fix it, will one of the solderless ones work?? i dont know how to solder. any help is appreciated. i had a error 7 i just fitting a chip this has allowed me to repair the old hdd back to factory and then i fitted a 160gb hard drive.
I had that excact same problem, my HDD had scratched while writing to itself, I bought a duox 2 chip form http://www.divineo.com for 15$ and then i stuck in there wiht a 250 gig HDD and used a combination of auto installer deluxe 2.11 and slayers auto installer to fix it. good luck
is the DuoX 2 ( http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-xb-duox2cr ) a solderless chip?? can i see a pic of it installed please?? how difficult is it to install a solderless chip?? as you can tell, im new wto modding. any and all help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Jon
U no what i cant get u a pick of it yet but i can tell u this, no it is not solderless but its increbidly easy to learn how to solder, i looked it up online practice on some wire and then went to it with some installation guide, worked great. so what im saying is first time soldering is pretty easy just go into it all the way not half way otherwise ul screw somthing up.
