I am using Nero Video to create a BDMV.
I am writing the file to my SSD.
I keep getting a burn process fail.
    attached is the error log.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I have been working on this 10 months.

In the encoding process, it's creating temporary files on your SSD and the available space for the temporary files is not enough. You can increase the space. On the other hand, I suggest that you disable 2-pass in the Nero encoding options. It's not beneficial in most cases and will reduce the size of the temporary files being generated.

    thanks for your help.
I am wondering what part of the log file shows that this is the reason?
I have made more room on my PC. The project export will be about 50G. The Nero Video prompt says I will need 101 G to perform it. I have 152G of free space. Still it fails
Also it seems to always fail at the same point as far as what it is doing.
Attached is the most recent Log.
I am in particular looking at the This section :

[01:12:01] NeroBurnSe <BDEngine.dll> ERROR BD.MediaCon - MediaCon Error: cause 0x3, source: GetFormat, description: Cannot get media type
[01:12:01] NeroBurnSe <BDEngine.dll> ERROR BD.BDMVClipEncoder - Encode: cannot create converter.
    [01:12:01] NeroBurnSe <BDEngine.dll> ERROR BD.BDMVClip - CBDMVClip::Create: Encoding of clip failed.
[01:12:01] NeroBurnSe <BDEngine.dll> ERROR BD.BDMVCompiltation - Create: error durning encoding of clip AV file 0002.
[01:12:01] NeroBurnSe <BDEngine.dll> ERROR BD.BDWriter - CreateDiscInternal: Error creating disc.
    [01:12:01] NeroBurnSe <BDEngine.dll> INFO BD.BDWriter - WriteToHDD: Successfully finished.

As stated, it always seems to fail during encoding of clip AV file 0002.
What does "Cannot get media type" mean ?
If there is an error here, why does it Successfully finish this section ??

i just finished another export that once again failed.
This time I sent the file to another drive which has 9Terabytes free on it.
again there was 152G free space on the drive Nero Video is on.
Again it seems to have stopped at the same place.
    Attached is the new Log.

I'm curious. What is the make and size of your SSD? How long have you had it and how often do you write delete files from it?

it is Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1 Terabyte
have only had it a few months
Just tried this again with recording settings changed from Match Source to manual at 30 bitrate.
    Again it failed.
    Attached is the new file.

I do not see my error on that list, however I have in fact tried all of those solutions. I am writing this to a hard drive file. I see that all of the various elements to my project are in MP4 format except for one which is in M2TS.
Could this be creating the problem?

Having only a few GB of free space for your project is often not enough because of other Windows usage. When you use 2-pass, it automatically writes the project to the storage drive and that's on top of writing the project to disc. That's why I asked you to disable 2-pass. Would you give that a try?

I have 9 Terabytes of free space.
Are you seeing something in the log files that specifically indicates a shortage of space?

Do you know what "NeroBurnSe <BDEngine.dll> ERROR BD.MediaCon - MediaCon Error: cause 0x3, source: GetFormat, description: Cannot get media type" means ?

I am trying it again now. If it fails again I will try with one pass. It would be hugely helpful if the above questions could be answered.
    Thank you in advance.

I only mentioned this because you provided this information "Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1 Terabyte." That shows just 1 Terabyte on the drive you referenced. You should always leave about 20% of any drive free. Although SSD disks are faster they're never a good choice for writing and deleting files since they have a limited number of writes before they start to fail. The Samsung 970 EVO has a write endurance of up to 620,000/560,000 random read/write IOPS, and then it reaches the end of its life. I managed to kill one by using it to install online video games, which constantly delete and write with large file updates. So now i use only platter drives for gaming and audio video media, especially since the added performance of an SSD Drive adds nothing of benefit to the function of either.

Perhaps you should try another application to see if the error is replicated. There are a number of high quality freeware video processing and burning applications. Here is a free burning software.

For video processing you might consider giving Handbrake a try.

Although the program is on a 1 TB, the file is being written to a 10 terabyte HDD.
Also I use Adobe Premiere Elements all the time without problems and that is the program I used to create the MP4s used in the Nero video project.

How big is this project? Does it include menus or just the video? Can you save it as a iso?

    re DDP:
I will look at this after the current export finishes though I already use Disc Drill

    It will finish at 45G
As far as I know it has to be saved as a BDMV as it has menus and will eventually be burned to a disc.

    By the way,
Do You know what "NeroBurnSe <BDEngine.dll> ERROR BD.MediaCon - MediaCon Error: cause 0x3, source: GetFormat, description: Cannot get media type" means ?

There must be someone who can answer this.

On any drive you should have about 20% to 25% of never to use space. For most HDDs. You should leave at least 15% to 20% space on platter drives and 25% on SSD drives as as never use space.

After another fail I have checked the drive using Crystaldiskinfo. and it shows Running Good 100%.
I have now moved the Nero Video program over to my 10T HDD, Toshiba HDWR51AUZSVB, so that both the program and the destination are on the same drive again, this time a 10TB with 9TB(90%) free. Certainly there is No Question there is enough space for everything and anything.
Trying the write now, will post results.

If you didn't uninstall Nero Video first, it shouldn't work on the second drive.
