I have a modded xbox, upgraded my hard drive and now have a spare xbox hard drive with evox loaded. With a new xbox I have tried to put the spare hard drive into it but I get error code 05, which I know means that my hard drive is unlocked. My question is... Can I use the spare hard drive in the new xbox how it is? I dont want to have to go through a process where I either have to mod or re-soft mod it (using a game, if there is a way to soft mod without using a game that would help here im all for it). I want to avoid that if possible, I dont mind stuffing around to avoid it. Can I use my original modded xbox to fix the problem?
All you have to do is get the eeprom for the box you want to use it in and lock the drive. It takes maybe 5 seconds to lock it with xboxhdm. Search the tutorials you'll find what you're looking for.
The hard drive from the second xbox isnt booting anymore, pretty sure its stuffed. How would I get the eeprom?
