Error code 13 WTF

    When I disable my mod chip I get a error code 13. I know this is a dashboard error but why is this occuring. I had my mother board switched out because it was messed and I replace the hard drive. I hope that background info helps.

    ftp into the xbox and copy the xboxdash over to your PC, then rename the msxboxdash to xboxdash and see if that works. mine was like that, i had the same problem and that was it. i ended up editing the evox.ini to look for msxboxdash instead of xboxdash when i wanted to switch to the original dashboard.

    Can you post your evox.ini so I can see what your referring to.

    this line, it's towards the top when you open the .ini
    MSDashBoard = "c:\msxboxdash.xbe"

    ok thanks, I'll check it out....By thw way what type of chip do you have? I just changed from matrix to xecuter 2.2 lite and was wondering how do i change the bios on it.

    i got a matrix, but as far as i know you can run alot of different bios's on each chip

    Ok I still have to try the advice you gave me. I just didnt have a chance. I'll let you know how it works. Just a question though, if I rename the file can I rename the file back if it doesnt work?

    yep, you'll need to if you want to use evox again
