you still have a problem with the DMA of your burner. REad this: http://winhlp.com/WxDMA.htm and follow the directions here: http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues the is the simple easy way! you are using too much Memory..... don't multi task! or get more memory! your media is crappy........ use MADE IN JAPAN media... read the labels..... or you can use Verbatim (they are top notch even though they are made in Taiwan/Singapore), Taiyo Yuden, Maxell, Sony, read the lable (MIJ are the best made media!).Starting off with good media means alot! and finally you have InCD installed with your Nero! that's the worst culprit that interferes with DVD burning software! Uninstall InCD! this is the main reason why your burning has failed!
Thanks for the prompt reply. One question about the InCD though. My Add & Remove Porgrams window does not show InCD installed. The only thing in my C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\InCD folder is a help file for InCD.
look in the Nero Toolkit that's listed in the StartSmart menu on the left hand side of the screen.......it should have update/remove ...... if not then you would have to uninstall Nero totally..... remember to save your serial # and run Nero 7 cleaning tools: http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html then reinstall your Nero 7 without InCD!
So that I could comment on 7.2.3.2b, I tried it to burn 3 AVI flies which I had successfully burned using version 7.0.8.2, sadly each burn was unsatisfactory so I reverted to 7.0.8.2, tried them again with success…my conclusion..7.2.3.2b was a failure. I did the following, uninstalled 7.2.3.2b, ran this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then installed 7.0.8.2 from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
I havent yet read too many logs from this version (7.2.7.0) that has been causing problems, some members really like it, me personally still like 7.0.8.2
I did almost everything you said. I reenabled DMA, lowered my memory usage to 61% free, and uninstalled InCD with the CleanTool. I didn't get new media, which I suspect will be the source of the issue I am about to post. I had ~450 mb of stuff on my USB HDD SATA drive that I wanted to burn. I decided to do a multisession off the disc that had the failed burns. I did so in Nero 7.2.7.0, and burned at 8x. Everything went fine, until Data Verification where I got some read sector errors (It reads fine in Windows though). My bet is that the failed burn or the bad media is causing problems. Either way, my burning ability is back, and that is awesome. Thanks a ton dude, I think this issue is resolved, unless there is something glaringly wrong in the log file.
