    I get this error when I try to play a video in Media Player Classic.
    I can play other types just not this video.

    Media Type 0:
    --------------------------
    Unknown

    AM_MEDIA_TYPE:
    majortype: MEDIATYPE_Stream {E436EB83-524F-11CE-9F53-0020AF0BA770}
    subtype: Unknown GUID Name {08E22ADA-B715-45ED-9D20-7B87750301D4}
    formattype: TIME_FORMAT_NONE {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
    bFixedSizeSamples: 1
    bTemporalCompression: 0
    lSampleSize: 1
    cbFormat: 0

    And at the top it says "Media Player Classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codecs or filters installed on your system." I also have the K-Lite Codec Pack, Quicktime Alternative, and Real Alternative installed on my computer. So how do I fix this error?

    Download GSpot, and drop the movie on it. It will tell you what codec is needed, and if you have that codec installed.

    Installing a slug of different codec packs isn't really a good thing. It can do more harm than good.

    Maybe the video file isn't quite complete. GrandpaBW's suggestions should help with that.
    As to K-Lite, i've sworn by the Mega version of K-Lite for donkeys years across multiple machines with zero problems. I don't however add any other codecs, K-Lite has all i need..

    Hi,
    Well mostly this type of problem occurs may be virus in system or missing file during installation. I only came here to spam the site as i have a lower than average IQ.

    I second above comments... The best codec pack out there by far is the Klite codec pack.
