While trying to back up one of my DVD's DVD Shrink stops and displays the following error:
Failed to read file "F:\", incorrect function. Copy Protection Error - The read failed because the sector is encrypted.
I have tried using DVD Decrypter, but it also stops after several tries of reading the encrypted sector, and does not complete.

are you using the latest Decrypter (3.5.4)? If so and you're still getting these errors you can download a 21-day free trial of AnyDVD, which should take care of this error and it runs in the background so you barely even notice it and you can use DVD Shrink just as if there's no encryption on the movie at all.

    hi

also it may just be that you need to unlock the drive before ripping? play the dvd in powerDVD or whatever for 5 mins to unlock the drive then try ripping.
