Trying to add subtitles to an avi file using virtual dub, I receive the following message when trying to load the ssa. file to virtual dub: ...ssa is not a valid windows image. Any solution ?
You installed the Subtitler filter and can select it from the Video menu ok? Is the .ssa file known to be good. Do you have any other .ssa file you can load to test.
Yes, I have followed the instructions in the relevant afterdawn guide. After I installed the subtitler filter, and entered the file of the movie, I tried to load the SSA. file to the subtitler. That is when I get the message "the application or DLL. C:\.....SSA. is not a valid windows image. Please check against installation diskette." I have tried the process with three different files converted from SRT files. I get the same message each time.
I don't know what could be causing the problem. If you get no further response, try the VirtualDub Forum. http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?s=946ce8aa4338b9ffe4a53e5a9775dac5
....also the Videohelp site has a subtitle forum. http://forum.videohelp.com/subtitle-f44.html?sid=d080533b54e515d55f8e68efda02560e
