We need a few more questions answered to help.

What is the computer IP settings for your NIC card on your computer that the Xbox is conected to.

Are you conecting directly from the Xbox to COmputer? If so you need a crossover cable.

If your going threw a router then regular cables are fine.

In the mean time you can try these settings if your conect VIA crossover cable.

    Xbox settings
    Static IP 192.168.0.2
    Subnet 255.255.255.0
    Gateway 192.168.0.0

    Computer NIC settings:
    Static IP 192.168.0.1
    Subnet 255.255.255.0
    Gateway 192.168.0.0

Now for the IP/URL for FlashFXP use the Xbox Static IP 192.168.0.2

Now if your going threw a router then let the router set up the conection.

Enable DHCP on the Xbox and make the NIC card to get settings automaticly.

Now check and see on your Xbox what IP the router gave the Xbox and enter that into FlashFXP

This is a direct connect using a crossover.

The gateway for the xbox is 192.168.0.1 (I was mistaken in question)
I saw also that you said to change the static ip. How do you do that on the xbox.

The NIC card ip is 192.168.0.1
    subnet 255.255.255.0

    Thanks alot

try the settings I gave to you above and you change the Xbox Network settings in the settings options on your dashboard.

    OK
I am trying to change my ip in Avalaunch and can not figure out how to do it. In network it will only let you look at the ip and not change it. So i did a search on the internet and found an avalaunch site that said to go into avalaunch.xml to change the ip. I found the file and it will not let me in. I know I must be making a stupid mistake but i cant find discussion about it. thanks

go there and read through the tutorials on FTP and
setting it up for connection sharing.
They also have a live chat feature where someone may be able
to talk you through it "real time"

Thanks alot everyone. In the end I removed Norton and linked like a charm. I now have another problem that I posted when using dvd decrypter. I got the iso and am burning it. Decrypter says that operation is complete and everything done, but I do not see any files listed on the disk and it does not play in xbox. Any thoughts???

THANKS AGAIN IT WAS A PAINFUL BEGINNING

Are you making an xISO of the game backup. You need to use a program like Quix or craxtion to make an xISO of the Xbox game and then burn that. So you know after making the xISO with 1 of the above programs it wont say its an xISO it will still say ISO but them programs construct the ISO in the way to play it off your Xbox.

Just for your knowlege your PC dvd drive wont bebale to bring up the files on the Xbox disc. That is the whole purpose of FTP to the Xbox to get the game. Because your PC drive cant read the disc.

If you have used an xISO maker then try to use diffrent media. and always burn 4x or below.

and another solution is to upgrade you HDD
Slap in about a 300GB HDD
Use Slayer 2.6 to format it and install eveything you need.
Then use DVD2Xbox to copy strait from the DVD to the HDD
Then if you want a back up copy on DVD you just have to FTP
from the HDD to your PC, create the ISO with Cration or Qwix out of
the fies you FTP'ed over and use DVD Decrypter to burn to a blank.
