So I recorded 'Life of Brian' from my Hauppauge wintv-nova-usb2 via wintv2000 to a mpg file (2,371,894KB]. I have been trying to turn it into a DVD using Nerovision express 3.SE but with no success. The file loads and I get the attached error message. I have defragged and optimized the drive - a number of times. I have copied the file and placed it on my C: drive. Still the same error message occurs. I can play the file in Wintv2000, winmedia, nero showtime and so I am confused. I have used the above process for making DVD's from recorded tv a number of times in the past. It has always worked. Does anyone have an idea as to what I should / could do? Best wishes, Steve I have downloaded and are using the latest update to the nero 6 cd burning software
Thank you, 56delray, You say: I'm not sure where to find the log? C:\program files\ahead\nero {?} Many thanks, s.
Thanks for that but I couldn't find the txt file. I even searched through my C: drive looking for NeroHistory.txt but without success. Any ideas? many thanks, s.
Nero 6 log : Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt Nero 7 log : Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt Nero8: Program Files>Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Nero\Nero8\Nero Burning ROM\NeroHistory
It is Nero 6 that I have installed. That said I can't find the file at the above address. It was Nerovision 3SE that misfired. Apologies for not finding the correct file. Thanks for the help. Best wishes, s.
Since it was a system error there may not be a file. The problem may be in the file you recorded. Have you tried any others since this one? You could try another converter.
Give DVD Flick a try, it works great for me: http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html
Thank you for all the help. I haven't yet tried another file to make another DVD, running a little low on -r's. I did google for a free dvd creator and came across 'burn for free' sounds a little suspicious but it converted the file. I've yet to watch it to the end. No time at this chaotic time of year. Thank you cyprusrom for your suggestion. Best wishes and thanks to all, Steve
