when ever i try and burn dvds, using dvd shrink and nero, at about 16% it comes up with an error message "could not recover TOC" and then ejects the disk. does anyone know what causes this or how to fix this problem? Thanks
Post your last Nero log and we can take a look to see what's up. You can find them here: Nero 6 - program files>ahead>nero>nerohistory Mero 7 - program files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory Just need the last one and be sure to edit out the serial # - begins w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.

Physical memory : 502MB (514480kB) Free physical memory: 52MB (53408kB) Memory in use : 89 This is not good. you need to close all programs running in the background. CdRomPeripheral : QSI DVD+-RW SDW-082 atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off DMA needs to be turned on.
Here's firmware update for the burner too - LX48. File 'Drivers\InCDfs.SYS': Nero's InCD can sometimes cause conflicts. So if you're not using it - uninstall it and run the clean tool. Keep us posted!
CdRomPeripheral : QSI DVD+-RW SDW-082 atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off DMA needs to be turned on. How do I turn this on?
Good to hear bennyt10 Turning back on DMA probably need the trick as dialysis1 suggested. If you updated the firmware may have helped too. Happy Burning!
