all right im kinda new to backingup games but not to computers.I tried to install unreall using the emulator in Alcoh. it goes through and insalls first part fine.Now i mounted the image for disk 2 on the second vertial drive and it starts out fine.But when it gets to 78% complete i'll get an error message that reads like this Component transfer error component: main app filegroup: app executables file: H:\data3.cab error: data error (cyclic redundancy check) any help would be great.thanks
hi ok, i had that error yesterday! on gta vice city when i burnt too fast and read to fast! so you need original dump image again at say 4x and write at 8x - this worked fine for me then i installed the game! good way to check file integrity is to copy and paste the files "H:\data3.cab" to HD if it works you know its good! if it doesnt it is dead! and needs to be read again!!! thx...
