Error-2048 Couldn't open the file vts_01_4 vob because it is not a file that quicktime understands

I downloaded Music and Lyrics onto DVD Fab5 and it wouldn't burn it. File was too big. Tried it through imag burn and shrink. No luck. Put it through VobBlanker and when i try to open those files I get this message. If I right click the file and have it open in Nero it opens and plays fine. It have the nero pic attached so why is it not working? I'm so new to this. This is the first time I have tried using VobBlanker so it may be something I'm doing. More than likely!

LOL! Hey, I'm new at this!!!

Okay, I'm trying to burn Music and Lyrics. Shrink wouldn't do it. So I used DVD Decrypter 5 and put in on my hard drive. Then I tried going through Imag Burn so I could do a test. It said the file was to big to fit on one disc. So I tried using Decypter again and using movie only. Then burning it on verbatim media. It burned half way and then gave me an error message. I put it through Vob Blanker and that program is still confusing to me. HELP!!

    no probs

music and lyrics is an original dvd and thats the title name?
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758766/

ok, so you have files sat on your hard drive what dvd decrypter ripped in a folder for you.

ok, for a test load those files off your hard drive into dvd shrink, if they load there isnt too much wrong with them, as dvd shrink is picky on structure.

do you have the error log from imgburn we may spot something. getting halfway may be the dvdr used, what was yours called?

you can use dvd identifier to find out and post the details here, copy/paste etc.

    ---------
    another route starting over is:

download anydvd trial (set options for your region) then use dvd shrink to rip it, anydvd sits in background taking out protection and allowing dvd shrink to rip it to HD/compress. a full dvd rip use maximum sharp/deep analysis. save to hard drive! then use imgburn to burn.
    ---------

whatever you choose burn slow at 6x and leave pc alone while its doing it.

The second part om my message....taking it slowly....I have the files on my hard drive. When I open my file they show that they would open with Nero. But when I double click on one of the Neros I get the message that I posted first originally above. So I think I might have a problem with Quick Time. When I right click on the same one I can choose to open with a few different programs. I can choose to open with nero and then it will open and play fine. Would any of this make a difference?
Another weird this was when I used Imag burn I did teh test first and it went through fine. But when I went to burn it it just kept trying to write it. number of retries was at 9 when I cancelled out of the program. So it never let me burn through it. I started to burn through decrypter 5 and shrink.
This is alot of take in. Sorry about that. Not sure what is going on.

    The DVDR was Verbatim.

Movie was indeed the one you posted.

How do I change the speed to 6x?

when you right click on the file to open with another software tick the box then highlight nero to open and click save, then from then on quicktime wont be used.

    now

do you have your nero error log to post here please...

I honestly don't know what version it is. It was on the computer when we bought it a year ago.

Okay. I was trying to edit this message to take off my nero info. Not sure how to do that. I accidentally posted twice. Sorry about that. How do I edit my post?

    Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AM3

change these dvdrs from trash to something that will work like VERBATIM or TAIYO YUDEN

also burn at half the rated speed

    Burn process failed at 16x (22,160 KB/s)

16x on CMC MAG is a road to nowhere...

I wish it were that easy. I tried MANY times to burn with Verbatim. I gave up and went with TDK and Sony because they were cheeper and I was hoping I could use the cheaper stuff to figure out the problem with. When i used Verbatim it would burn half way and then quit.

I will try to find the error log with Verbatim.
