error message

    do any of you know whatthis message means:
    device error-1051 error data-key:4ASC: 44 ASCQ:FD

    I got this while burning a cd. it worked before.

    You're going to have to be a bit more specific than that mate. What program were you using at the time? What were you burning, with what kind of drive? Any information would help.

    I tried using snap and burn, and ashampoo shrink and burn (this usually works). I was trying to burn an avi. movie which was on my C drive. I had a problem like this before and all I had to do was defragment my hard drive but when I try to do this now it does'nt help.

    I have no idea. Sorry. Google your question, you might be able to find something on another well-known forum in your first few hits.
