i know that a dashupdate might fix this but can someone tell me what games might have them or if i can get them online?
If an update doesn't work, try a reinstall of the dash. It's probably a key that's missing or it may even be bad.
Yup, just grab a new version of any decent dashboard, (i.e. EvoX, Avalaunch, UnleashX etc.) and you'll be fine... You can install these w/ Slayers 2.6, or u can FTP them (as I'm sure you know!)
I don't know how that slipped past me. I understand what you're asking, I think, and if I'm assuming right I think you have the wrong idea about softmods. There are not games on the market that have dashbards. There are however three games that serve as a third party i the softmod process (i.e. Spinter Cell, MechAssault, & 007 Agent Under Fire). You can access the Linux save through those games, the game itself doe not have the file you need. Think of it like the PSP and Wipeout Pure with access to the internet. Do like we said, just reinstall a dashboard to your system and you'll be fine.
Ok, I know exactly what he is talking about uniique1, as I had to think about it for a couple minutes, but I finally got it... He's not referring to softmodding, what he is referring to is this... [bold]ERROR 13[/bold] When someone gets an error 13, 99% of the time it is because of the incompatibility between the older dashboard 4920 that the older slayer versions install and the new dashboard/kernel versions found in some new xbox's and found in xbox's that have been connected to xbox live (when you go on xbox-live, it'll upgrade your dashboard file to i believe it is now 5659.03. This dasboard is incompatible with the dash that (old) slayer installs (for example 2.5 or lower) So, one way you can fix this is to use the dashupdate found on most new xbox games.

haha, you know i got you covered man! I was sitting here thinking about this thread for a few minutes, and then I finally remembered what the error 13 is all about...
i am getting the error 13 when i try to boot my xbox with no disc i now have no dash i can still play games and live but i want to get the ms dash back can some aim me with any information on how nowtheworldd
