HI well i've read alot of your forums an i am still at a loss here> i was burning movies useing kodak R+ and nero smart start an they burned with no problem, Then i purchased memorex dvd+r/rw an ever since had nothing but problems It will either burn but not finalize an i get a msg about Disc-At-Once did not work or I get msg invalid block. Thank you for your response i did cut back my burning to 4x an that allowed me to burn it but then it wouldnt finalize it and i got the msg bout disc at once not working ..an it wont play..

Both your logs have the same error like the wise Man "Women" attar said try some better disk's Insert empty disc to write to. (Medium in drive: unknown. Medium required by compilation: DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, ram.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD-RAM, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL.)
I am having the same issue but I am using Kodak DVD+R disc 16x 4.7GB, are Kodak disc of an inferior quality? Also I have tried 2 different burners one is a HP DVD640 and the other is a Writemaster but unsure of model name but it is 16x as well. I have also tried cutting speed back to both 8x and 4x with no luck.
i fixed mine I found out you cant transfer a 16x to a 4x if your burner only burns at a 4x rate .. so i bought disc that burn at 4x an fixed my problem if your not sure look up your model on the net will give you the stats you can burn at good luck an thanks to all who helped me.
