Got our new BenQ DW1655 in to replace the dead Pioneer A07D. Updated Nero, DMA is on, ASPI layer is working, booktype is active in Qsuite, tried to burn a DVD off the HD with Shrink and got this error msg. I have several movies already ripped to the HD's (w/DVD Fab) and ready to burn, but can't. Not sure if the drive is DOA, since it can read in Qsuite and the error is in Nero which is software? Any help is appreciated. 1a*********************5 Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=4.60 (1021), size=45056 bytes, created 9/10/1999 12:06:00 ahead WinASPI: File 'd:\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 11/2/2004 12:54:32 NT-SPTI used Nero API version: 6.6.1.4 Using interface version: 6.3.1.4 Installed in: d:\Ahead\Nero\ Application: ahead\Nero - Burning Rom Internal Version: 6, 6, 1, 4d Recorder: <BENQ DVD LS DW1655> Version: BCAB - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.1.4 Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ? === Scsi-Device-Map === CdRomPeripheral : BENQ DVD LS DW1655 atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : DVD-16X DVD-ROM BDV316E atapi Port 0 ID 1 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : WDC WD800JD-98LUX0 atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : WDC WD1200JB-00GVA0 atapi Port 3 ID 0 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : WDC WD1200JB-00GVA0 atapi Port 3 ID 1 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === BENQ DVD LS DW1655 L: CDRom0 DVD-16X DVD-ROM BDV316E M: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 83886080 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 2046MB (2095532kB) Free physical memory: 1689MB (1730208kB) Memory in use : 17 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 15.2.2006 NeroAPI 10:29:19 #1 Phase 112 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 275 DVD-Video files reallocation started 10:29:19 #2 Phase 114 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 275 DVD-Video files reallocation completed (no file modified) 10:29:19 #3 Phase 111 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 275 DVD-Video files sorted 10:29:19 #4 NEROAPI 7 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3095 Error:\nCannot connect TRF. 10:29:19 #5 Text 0 File AudioCompilationImpl.cpp, Line 867 DRM: DRM burn session terminated. 10:29:19 #6 Text 0 File AudioCompilationImpl.cpp, Line 896 DRM: Closing entire DRM handling. The new nero 6 update has some bugs and will not automatically start the with Nero. you get that "nCannot connect TRF" error. You can save the files to HDD and burn manually with nero burning rom, or I would suggest going back to nro 6.6.0.18. http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe
cyprusrom Thanks for the info. I guess I can reinstall the BenQ and take care of Nero. thanks again, hope that will work
Make sure you use the general Clean Tool from nero website to uninstall Nero. Do not uninstall from Control Panel, as not all Nero entries will be removed this way. If you already did it, go in the registry and delete any Nero entry before reinstalling.
