Encountered the following error when trying to burn a DVD. I upgraded to Nero 7.0, since I've had numerous issues with 6, but I got the same exact error with both 6 and 7. Here's the log:

    Hi.

Are you trying to use the Copy Entire Disk option in Nero? Is the disk copy protected? If it is copy protected this likely won't work. If not copy protected, try to rip the disk to be copied to your HDD with DVD Decrypter in mode ISO -> Read. Then switch the mode of DVD Decrypter to ISO -> Write and see if you can make the copy in that manner.

    Hi tommich
    Here's some suggestions:
Turn DMA back on for this drive - looks like you are reading from this drive and DMA not on may be playing into the error reading data.
    Here's a guide if needed:
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
Turn this off - does the reading and writing in real time so any little glitch and bam burn failed. Best to save to the hard drive even temporarily. Gives the drive time to read the disc. The drives being in different transfer modes when using this option will probably also cause it to fail.
Check the back of the source disc - any scratches or smudges?
    Keep us posted.

Thanks Binkie. I did everything you said, and am not which one it was that did the trick, but I stopped getting that error and was able to burn.

Thanks for the link Laddy, but it was a homemade DVD made off a VHS. Appreciate the help though.
