I've been using dvd shrink for a while now and i've just downloaded the new free version3.0.3.0. of dvd fab decrypter. It decrypts a movie but when i go into dvd shrink to get the file it gives me an error reading C:\Documents and Settings\Home\desktop\Decrypt3\Video_Ts.IFO
cannot find the file specified. Why is it doing this and it worked perfectly well with the older version of dvdfab decrypter before can someone please help.

    Hi stuck11
Seems some of the v3 of DVDFab decrypter give some users & setup's a problem.
You can try the 3.0.3.3beta and see if it worked out the problems for you.

Or go back to the version that worked for you. If you need a link just post back what version - we'll try and find one.

Download the latest VOB Blanker and run the results from the DVDFab Decrypter thru it. Once VOB Blanker is completed, try using DVD Shrink.

See if that helps at all.

How do you run it thru VobBlanker if the VIDEO_TS.IFO file is missing?

Hi blinkie7 i could not find the beta version and i know i've seen it on the site but when i went to look for it i couldn't find it. i downloaded dvdfab ver 3.0.3.5 and it did the same thing. I could not find my old version of dvdfab express and i know it was version 2. something. Well thanks for the reply and i'll keep looking for something that works.

    Hi stuck11
Looks like Fengtao took it down. You can try 3.0.2.8b if you like - still have that one and can upload it somewhere.

    Another free option is RipIt4Me:

Not free but has a 21 day trial is AnyDVD - you can run it in the background w/ Shrink. Will handle anything out there. It's counterpart is CloneDVD like Shrink but has a burn engine though it wouldn't do copy protected dvd's w/o like AnyDVD running in the background or ripping it 1st w/ DVDFab.

Try one of those and let us know.

    @stuck11

Out of curiosity, what movie is it? It's odd that you're missing the VIDEO_TS.IFO file after DVDFAB Decrypter has already ripped it.

    Hey there stuck11
    You're welcome!
Keep keeping for updates to DVDFab. You might also want to send a email to fengtao (dvdidle.com site - tech support) and let them know of the problem you are having. Sounds like it didn't rip the ifo or it was corrupted during the rip (?).

See my post above on what or can use on the newer stuff - RipIt4Me (free) or AnyDVD (free 21 day trial) running in the background w/ Shrink.
