"error verifying blank media"

hi folks,,when i try 2 burn an iso file 2 cdr,i get msg "error verifying blank media" yet it burns 2 a dvd disc ok,,running outta dvd discs so plz help lol thanx in advance

Can you please give me a model number? Run Nero info tool, if you don't know (you can get it off this site).

 

its a lite-on dvdrw shm-165p6s........hope i did that right

 

Download ,extract and run this file. It is a firmware update for your drive. It enables it to recognise new disks etc.

Make sure you have nothingin your drive and you're not running anything when you update it.

i have installed windows vista ,,it comes with media player 11,,how can i get rid of 11 so i can install media player 10 ??? it aint in add/remove

 

You can't remove it. You're stuck with 11. That's one of vista things, sorry.

i am just used to media player 10,,when i play a dvd that i have played in it before,it plays from where it left off last time,,i cant find where 2 change that lol,,annoying

 

Hmmm, I don't play movies in WMP. I use VLC media player. So unfortunately, I don't know
