When I try to burn the files that DVD-RB have left I get a message such as. "DVD-Video files reallocation failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable." The lsit of files is the same as the original only smaller But if I put folder that came out of DVD-RB through DVD Shrink it will then burn with no problem and there is alterations in the files (less files) I'm using DVD-RB 0.97 and HC Enc as I provides better file sizes than CCE for me. I did this on the fly using DVD43 as DVD Decrypter has stopped being developed could using DVD43 have caused the problem. I dont like using DVD FabDecrypter as it skips cells with scratches and they come out in the final result so would it be better to use AnyDVD. Also is there a piece of software I can use that will examine the disc to see if there are any skips than I would be more conformable using DVD FabDecrypter. Any help will be appreciated.
Tanksta, It would have been better to post in the other thread but this one is a little different. AnyDVD ( new version )uses FixVTS to correct the structure of the DVD as it is similiar to VobBlanker. If you are going to use DVDFAB Decrypter then use VobBlanker after ripping the files to HD and then use DVD-RB. Personally I use PgcEdit w/ the plug-in and I also own AnyDVD. AnyDVD does have the option to rip the problem DVD's though to HD
in adddition to above post's I found this once as advice to all nero user's (thought it fit) 1: search forum for nero problems and/or similar 2: note the # of related topics/threads 3: use another burning prog =)
Personal preference for rebuilder: I use AnyDVD to remove protection. DVD Decrypter to copy film in file mode to HDD. DVD Rebuilder(with pro-coder) to process film to single layer, using the make ISO option. DVD Decrypter to burn ISO image to single layer disc. Works perfect every time and results are spot on. Adding AnyDVD to Decrypter keeps it as a perfect ripping tool.
I don't want to answer for BigDK but the reason I use AnyDVD over DVD Decrypter is because you have the PLS2 Plugin installed DVD Decrypter isn't capable of decrypting the newest protections, i.e. ARccOS and Ripguard. While this method works well it just isn't as easy as AnyDVD on-the-fly. My two cents.
just a note there are times when awaiting a update you can use the psl2wizard just until anydvd get's you updated. this may not be so bad any more now that they took (stole) the freeware app fixvts and incorporated it into there not so freeware prog. without even asking/acknowledging the author until a huge stink was raised.
