Hi, When I try to convert a DVD to WMV format using DVD-WMV, at step 5, I get the following error: "Problem initializing Encoding Session, input audio might have too few channels for selected profile". Judging by the forum on their web site, a number of people have had this problem for some time, but there doesn't seem to be a known cause. Does anyone here know of a solution or alternatively, can you recommend any free software which will do this conversion and keep the 5.1 sound intact? I'm running Windows XP Pro. Thanks.
Thanks, but I'm looking for a free solution. From what I understand, DVD-WMV is pretty good, I just can't get it to work! I've had no response from the DVD-WMV forum or here, so I'm currently just joining my VOB files and changing the extension to MPG. Seems to be working and the 5.1 sound also seems to be intact - I'm playing the files back through my Xbox360 as a media center extender. Still, if anyone knows how to resolve the problem with DVD-WMV, please let me know!
