Hi guys! I'm a newbie here so if I've posted this in the wrong area, please let me know and I will remove my post. I'm trying to make a showreel for an actor friend of mine. For those of you who don't know what that is, its just a compilation of clips of TV or film they have been in. I've used DVDShrink to remove scenes from a DVD he has of Casualty. The Casualty DVD he has was either DVD'd of TV or was given to him by the production team. My clip is removed with no problem but when I change the extension of the clip from VOB to MPG and then import the MPG into Adobe Premiere 2.0 I notice a couple of errors. I see some sort of blocky artefacts at exactly the same point when I view the clip in Premiere or if I export it and view it in another program. I checked the original source clip before I imported it and I can't see the error. I've tried converting the VOB into MPEG without just renaming it to get it into Premiere but I get a slightly different error but at the same place. The new error makes a couple of the actors look like they have some sort of wavy line around them. Can anyone offer any suggestions please? My friend really needs me to complete this for him ASAP for his work and I feel bad that after all my bluster, I can't get it to work for him. Thanks.
I forgot to mention, I tried VOB2MPG as suggested in the FAQ in this forum but Premiere hangs when it is conforming the mpg during import process. Can anyone offer any suggestions please?
