Hi. I am after a little help please. I am no expert on bin and cue files but have been using them OK to install games. I either extract the files to a temp dir using WinISO or burn them to CD using nero 6.0.0.19.
However now I am having trouble with Worms 3D. I have two bin files dev-w3d1.bin and dev-w3d2.bin. i found i hadnt got the cue files so i downloaded these seperately. they are standard cue files and read:
    FILE "DEV-W3D1.BIN" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
OK, all seemed fine, i burnt two CDs and installed the game OK. However when I launch the game it comes up saying "wrong disc inserted". either disc can be inserted but i cant load the game. the cds look like they are labelled correctly; worms3d_1 etc. i have looked through this forum but cant find an explanation. there are a couple of other posts where people have had this error but it doesnt really say what the cause was. Any help much appreciated...

One solution is to 'Buy' the game.

The images you have... odds are they have noCDs on them already. Have a look on the discs. Of course, I cant endorse such actions.

the game image ( the bin/cue) is just a copy of the game itself.. you managed to get the game installed , alright so the bins do work. as for the error you keep getting.. Thats probably some form of protection.. the game is asking for what it thinks is the orginal cd and since the burnt ones arent the orginal game thinks cd isnt there.. as Praetor said, look on the cds you burnt, most likley on the install cd or the play cd ( the cd with the game on it, the one you put in to play the game ) for a noCD patch or something of the like.. all else fails, READ the nfo that came with the bin/cues!

As an aside: why are people responding and helping this guy at all?? Doesn't it say somewhere in the forum rules that warez speak is strictly verboten here?
And "dev-w3d1.bin and dev-w3d2.bin" obviously refer to the Deviance group, who release warez.....

As an anwser (hypocrite! traitor! ;)): you should indeed look for the nocd on one of the discs. It is probably in an EASILY identifiable folder...

As a note to all: don't pirate, and if you DO pirate, KNOW HOW! Or at least spend some time figuring stuff out for yourself.

    "Do you Google"?
