The obvious answer is you dont have enough virtual memory available to achieve your goal of burning your project to disc. You need to close any application that is not neccessary when running: 1.your pc 2.Running the burning engine. My recommendation is to get another sim of ram and then re attempt to burn.256 MEG is just not enough.512 is adequate but i would prefer you to go to 1024.Ram is relatively cheap and the extra mb will allow you to slightly multitask if need be. [bold]What are your pc stats?[/bold]
You drive doesn't seem to recognise your media... ...We can tell this becos... ...of all the zero's. Even burning Cd's, more RAM like gyrus suggested is probably suggested and a must if you want to keep up with the PC's of today. [bold]..::EDITED::..[/bold]
@Ripper, You will notice by this that pj66 is trying to burn a cd ans NOT a DVD All MP3 files and also this which indicates a CD as well. Now my take on it is...you are using poor quality discs, suggest you try some Verbatim or Sony (made in japan) and if you continue to use the ones you have then slow the burn to 24X and see how it goes. What guyrus has said about your RAM requirement is in fact correct if you wish to burn DVDs however you should have sufficient (barely) to burn CDs.
Oops! You got me there! Post edited accordingly. I was in two minds answering this and a DVD post at the same time and messed it up In that case, better media is probably the way to go. Lol ..::Edited for typo's::..
hi gwenie, think he might get better use if he upgrades his board to something that supports ddr 2 as well. Its always good to stay current and i'm running 2gig of the stuff at the moment
Thanks for all your quick responses; I didn't think I’d get so much feedback that quick. The Pc belongs to a friend of mine that I’m helping out. Upgrading her memory is next on my list but i figured she should be ok to burn with 256M. She is using brand-X discs so I’ll try something better in the next few days and let you know. Thanks again for all your help.
