Ethernet cable - Crossover or not?

    That's a normal ethernet cable.

    If it was a crossover cable, it'd say so on the packaging.

    So... Does that mean I have to use it with a router? If so then *hts head hard agaisnt table edge and dies*

    i used a crossover cable strait to the PC before i bought my router
    But you have to have an open eithernet port to plug into.
    I did because at the time my cable modem was hooked up via USB. Now it is all through eithernet cables.
    You can get a 50 foot crossover really cheap at CompUSA if you have any near you. I think it cost me $12-$15
