After reinstalling my Windows XP, I reinstalled all my drivers. But now when I go into Device Manager, I shows a yellow exclamation mark on top of a yellow question mark on the Ethernet Controller. It is also in the Other Devices section also. Now, it doesn't even detect the ethernet wire when it is plugged in. I have already installed the Network driver, so I know that is not the problem. I cannot even access the internet on that PC now. Can someone please help me?

    Thanks

moved to correct forum as not a windows issue. uninstall the ehthernet controller card with the exclamation mark & restart windows. windows won't detect the modem or router until the ethernet card driver is installed.

Have you installed all your motherboard drivers??? you need to do this and if this does not work you can press update drover by right clicking on the yellow mark and this will give you an option of updating your driver and make sure your connected to the internet at the time.
