euro vox max v- help pls

Hi, i basically on my euro vox max v box did the following- pressed menu-installation-fast installation-OK, after doing this i get a message on my screen saying channel not currently available, can somebody pls tel me what i ahve done and how i can get all the channels back on the box as it is not mine, thankyou v much?

 

Where are you located and what provider are you with ?

 

i am in bradford 7 and what do u mean by provider, sorry if i seem unknowlegeble about this stuff i understand i may annoy u wid my stupid questions but pls bare with me?

Are you Ex N*L , C&W or TW ?

Go to Menu then Installation and do a normal powerscan from 200.000 to 800.000 using symbol rate 6.952

 

do i do a power scan in fast install or user installation?i have been told not to do a power scan will this help me get the channels?

 

Try the user installation with the freq above and see if that works

 

it is doing it now it will take a while but stay on line pls,what should i do if i still get the message channel not available after doing this?

 

Is it finding channels as it is scanning ?

 

the freaquency keeps changing, the channel number is has not moved from 0001 and the progress is moving and level is 8% and quality is 8%,occasionaly the level and quality will get to 98% and the bar will go green for a split secound but then both go down to 8% agan?

and in the screen below it says TP: 000?

 

Press the Menu button on your remote, and then go into 'Config' menu and select 'Clear Data'

It will then ask for your PIN (default is 0000)

Then select 'Factory Default'

It will then ask you to select the symbol rate

Press OK when 'Reset to Factory Default Settings' comes up

It will then say 'Wait to Factory Settings' and will then start to do a Full Power Scan (using the Symbol rate you selected earlier)

It will then search through for channels, do not interrupt it until it finishes.

It wil then exit to allow you to view your programs

 

when i am in factory default which symbol rate do i select pls?

right,so it is doing it now,there was only one other symbol rate there so i did 6952,should this work and get all the channels back?

 

It should work for you , if it does not , you can try 6887 for the other provider

 

ok thankyou,how long does it take to do a full power scan and you know so much about this and help alot you should be able to earn alot of money through this considering how much you know?

 

It could take 15-20 mins to do a full scan , can you see any ch@nnels listed on the screen yet ?

I learned everything I know from other helpful members here in AD , and do it as a hobby both on and offline

 

well on the box screen it just says 0000?and how do i know whether i am a n*l tw etc?wot should i do if does not work?

 

Did it do the scan yet or is it still scanning ?

Before VM took over who had you got as your cable provider ?

You should be able to get ch@nnels installed from doing a scan

Make sure your cable is plugged into the RF Socket and not the antenna port
