euro vox max v whitebox

bought this box about 2mths ago i can download software
it loads alright loads channels ok but if i turn box off
it loses everything i noticed the lock light does not work
in this time of engery saving i like to power down all
applinences at night
can anyhelp thanks

 

That is the Max V 2008 and new firmw@re was released 18/04/2008

Press Menu > Config > System Info and tell us what it says please

 

box now dead does not power up
sorry for not getting back sooner broadband crashed

had it up and running on sunday for about 2hrs
turned power of at socket
turned back on box died

 

check the c14 capacitor on the psu board and see if its blown or bulged.

 

checked caps looks ok but i,ll get a new one and fit it
between the box and my brandband going up and down like a
whores drawers
i can see the lot going out the window

no soldering if poss as i suffer from
whitefinger and cant hold anything steady
