euro vox

hi i have a genuine 2007 eurovox box and im looking for the latest firmware file and a step by step procedure to install i am not very pc clever at all

 

you need firmware and loader lucky enough it comes in one for eurovox you will find it here http://www.freewebs.com/cableassist/eurovoxproducts.htm ... thats the red firmware 21/04/08 ... you will need a null modem cable db9f to db9f (make sure its not an rs232 serial cable )and if you dont have a pc with a serial port or you have a laptop which only has usb you will need a usb to rs232 adaptor ... double check in that link that youy defo have a red 2007 box

its a red box do i have to up load my programs first before i download the firmware update

 

no its just an option for handyness sake .. you just download the firmware connect your box up with right cables make sure scarts pipe etc. are dissconnected and box left on standby hit download then the version should be detected then hit start but if your using usb you might have to go into device manager and make sure you have it set to the right number from 1 to 4

hi followed the instrutions but when full power scan its taken over 2 hours and not moved on to next screen

 

where are you located and whats your provider are you on n*l

well not too sure what freq you need it would be a lot quicker cos im in dublin and i start at 290.000 and stop at 403.000 but glasgow is different ill try find out cos a full scan takes a while

 

i have pressed ok on the remote now and its coming up as ch num

freq 326.00 +++++++going up

progress 357/770++++++++going up



is this right

 

yeah what symbol rate did you do it on was it 6887 for n*l if so you should start picking up transponders (tps)
