Looking for a bit of help here.

I'm trying to update my Eurovox Red with the latest software I can find (01.06.07) but I've just discovered my lap top doesn't have a RS232 port so I've got to pick up a USB adaptor. The problem is that the EuroVox has a 9 pin male socket and the only USB adaptors I can find online are USB to Male aswell.Anyone know where I can pick up a USB to Female 9 pin ????

You need to use the adapter in conjuntion with the null modem cable. As in usb adapter to usb port in the pc. Plug the null modem cable into the other end of the adapter and then into the Eurovox

    Thanks sc)user,

Now,just think of me as thick for a minute :).

This null model cable you speak of, should , I assume, be female on both ends ?(I'm only asking cause there seems to be various types),thereby allowing me to connect this male adaptor, which I've yet to buy, into the female null and the other end of the null into the Eurovox.....ummmm , yes, that makes sense...I think !

    Sorry for being stupid !
