eurovox 1000sl

    I am in dublin we have ntl. we have a eurovox 1000 and some of our channels are gone. does anyone know is there software i can download for it. If so where do i find it. Also what sort of cable is used to update the box. thanks

    Some of oour channels?? Do you mean the premium channels??

    yes. we have found software on this website and downloaded it. how do we transfer it to the eurovox

    Have a look on the other thread titled in big writing 'Eurovox firmware and flashing guide'! Two or three down from this!!

    we need to get a usb adapter tomorrow and try fix it. if it is so easy why is everybody not doing it. thanks for your help

    Any update you put on eurovox of any type (and most other boxes) will not retrieve the channels missing in dublin Nthell. Hope this helps mate.

    is starview 4 the only up to date box and is there going to be a fix for older ones?

    It looks extremely unlikely there'll be an update for the older boxes. But I wouldn't go chucking it in the bin. You never know.
    The other fully working boxes for you would be Starview 4 usb/Kryptview/Itgate. All are working sweet where you are and who your with.

    this is all new to me so i do appreciate your replies if i get a starview box from the uk is it easy enough to download the software.
    is it available? thanks a million.

    It's all explained on this site in the sticky's or search for Starview flashing guide in the search on this site. You've got three choices though as I say. I have no idea which you should go for but choose wisely my son. Sorry! Just always wanted to use that phrase!!!

    Yes but the SV4's are not a great box, channels go missing and are hard to get back all the time on them

    ITGate or Kryptview would be a better buy imo
