eurovox 2006 stays on standby

HI

Can anyone help? My eurovox 2006 (blue box) when switched on stays on standby the display screen is blank apart from the 2 dots : where the time should be. Does anyone know what this fault is and how I can fix it, your help will be much appreciated.

Did you have it working or was it always like this mate.

 

my box the same problem its an 06 blue box,was working fine then screen went blank and told me not to try repair return to manufacturer(back to the starbox it is).any ideas on how to fix would be great

 

It's probably a clone box. when you update the firmware on the clone eurovox it stops working. look in through the top of the box at the screws on the circuit board and if the screw is covered in red paint it's a clone.

 

its a clone alright.suppose it needs a jtag.
