Eurovox 2007 Dead?

Hi,

I have a Eurovox 2007 and think its dea. When I power up, theres nothing, no red LED or anything on the display. I have tried my internal power board in another Eurovox and it works fine. I have tried the power board from another working Eurovox in my faulty one and nothing.

Its not hte power lead fuse, have tried another.

Can anyone help or should I get another Eurovox?

open the box and check the capacitors.

the c14 capacitor is notorious for failing in these boxes. non flat head is the tell tail sign that a capacitor has gone. These are 50p to replace and could save you some doh.

Fixed two eurobox 2006 (blue) using the above already.

 

I'd say get a new one but others might have other helpful idea's

c14 looks fione and i have seccussfully tested the internal power board out of the faulty eurovox in abother eurovox.

 

Ive read about a JTAG programmer, has anyone sorted the proble using on of these?
