Eurovox 2008 code update

I know this info is already on the forum but just wanted to make it a bit easier to find for people in my area lol.
On my Eurovox max V i go into menu-language settings-type in '1968' twice- use '<' or '>' to find smellyvest code lines-press 'OK' to access and follow the instructions on the bottom of the screen to edit.(i dont use the other method Menu-yellow button( when i press on it the fields are all zero'd- but box is working fine with new current code- as entereed above))

For westmidlands:
April 9th
smellyvest
00 = D8 9B E6 5E 3A 0C 45 AE
01 = B5 AA 58 2D 64 5E E1 05

 

If someone could explain to me the code- how is it worked out?.
Is it something i could do myself?.
Also i noticed on other threads there is alot of codes flying about-
Scotland- West brom, Ireland, C+WW, and so on... im nver quite sure what code will work lol.
I finally figured out yesterday evening after a mad 5 hours of puncingh in codes and doing the two methods, that for my area i only need to edit the smellyvest codes.

Yeh i entered the codes in the other method and all is working fine, even though when i press menu-yellow button- it has nothing entered- its all zeros!.
As long as it works im happy.
If i use your method, what is the code 5C01 for smellyvest?( im just thinking perhaps its simplere to do it your way than the way i did it!)

 

i think its 5a 01 thats what worked for me.

the code worked 4 25 minz then it went back to please wait, updateing
