    Hi,
I bought a Euro-vox 2008 max V. I scanned the chanels and it appears to work ok , except the hand controller seems to only work intermitantly. Sometime i can point the controller directly at the box and nothing happens, yet by tilting thre controller to point tot he floor it appears to work. Or just above the box.

I get 340 tv channels and most are duplicates of chanels like BBC1.

Another thing is that i find that sometimes when configuring or trying to access the EPG the box will reset itself and any current changes i may have made will be lost. This doesnt happen all the time, but today has occured about 4 times whilst trying to rename channels like CHtv1 to BBC3.

    So my question is:
is this controller and/or box faulty , or is it a simple adjustment?, otherwise its going back to the place i bought it for a replacement!

Just to add, i checked the controller and that is working fine, i read about using a mobile phone camara to check it. So it seems the box doesnt allways respond to the controller, i have checked this by pressin the channel buttons on the front when the controller doesnt seem to work and it changes channel.
So i think i will take the box back to who i bought it off as there is a problem with it thats beyond my understanding.

If you want you can try this as I have seen this happen before

Disconnect the EV from the power and open the screws around the box and take of the casing , where the LCD screen is located , check the connectors that are connect to it are tighly in , as sometimes they can get a bit loose between handling and in delivery

Hi, i carefully looked and the connectores are either soldered in or have some glue on them. The only thing i could find was that therer is only two screws holding the display to the front plate and were a bit loose. I did try it with a a third screw, but only made a slight diffrence.
Thanks for your help though :).

I will take it back and they should exchange it for another unit for me - hopefully!.
