eurovox 2008 hand controller only works from 7ft or more away

    Ive bought a eurovox 2008 and found that if im closer that 5-7ft the box doesnt respond, even tho th remot control is working perfectly(tried on freinds identical box).
    The next pc fair isnt till tuesday so i wont be able to take it back until then.
    So i was wandering if there was a slim chance anyone kenw how to fix this problem. Reseting the box makes no diffrence.

    never heard of this problem lol

    try disconnect the EV from the mains and open the screws and see if any connectors are loose at the front display screen
