    Hi all,

I flashed my Eurovox Clone last night with the following firmware.

    UFL_MAX_BLUE_30_11_08_clone__safe.zip

I don't have the download link I used for it (so far but I will keep hunting)but I am certain I found it on this Forum!!!

Anyway, after the flash I rebooted the box and plugged it in...... Everything appeared normal and it worked for about 10 minutes. I then powered it off and went to bed.

Then this evening when I came home from work I powered it back on and was greeted with some lovely green letters......

    6E6F

The box now does not send anything to the TV but a black screen. No "please wait, code being updated". No "No signal" Nothing but black.

Also the box does not appear to respond to much from the remote. It will go in and out of standby no problem but nothing else.

I have tried reflashing with same firmware.

I have tried Flashing with old firmware then reflashing with this firmware.

But so far nothing still displaying 6E6F....!

Does anyone know what 6E6F means on the display or have any other ideas as to what could have went wrong?? Or any other clone safe firmware I could try reflashing with.

Any help / advice is extremely welcome.

    Mucho Gracias Amigos..... ;O)

    Bazza.

    Wasn't this forum at all.

Found it on dooby2oon. I Browsed to dooby2oon for starview help for another box here:

    removed

then clicked the link to "downloads section" which took me here:

    removed
And browsed through the firmwares and there is one for clones under

    My 4shared/Eurovox/New Firmware 30112008/Clone Max Blue 30112008

And that's where I got the firmware.

I have used dooby2oon firmware before and it has been reliable but that doesn't necessarily mean this one was.......

So any ideas what the 6E6F means????

Thanks In advance anyone good enough to help.

    Sorry.

I was only trying to show exactly which firmware I had loaded and where I got it, I wasn't linking directly to any codes.....

    But never mind.

Got some good advice from Attack of the Clones Forum.

The firmware had caused the box settings to change. The Output had been changed from PAL. And the Display settings had been changed from RGB (Scart).

So I plugged an old RF Areial in to the output on the Eurovox and connected that to the TV instead of the scart lead. This then allowed me to get to the Eurovox PIN screen. On my Eurovox Clone the Master PIN is 1004 and I have seen this on a few forums for various other boxes although I am not sure if this is standard on all, anyaway after entering the PIN I went to the "Menu", then "Config Menu", Then "TV Settings" and changed the "TV Mode" back to "PAL", and the "Video Output" back To "RGB".

Viola! I could then see output as usual.

I then reflashed the box with the original firmware I had and I am back to exactly where I started two days ago......

ENTERING THE BLEEDIN CODES ALL THE TIME!!!

At least I didn't Brick it. One positive aspect to concentrate on.

Oh Well, Just have to keep an eye out for "decent" clone safe firmware.

Thought I would detail what had happened anyway just in case any other dumbass trusted dodgy firmware.

I Would post my thanks, but I think I will leave that for the other forum........ OOOoohh, Cheeky! ;O)
