Hi all can anyone pls help or come across yhis problem I have read through most threads but seem to be stumped. I have a silver eurovox clone I downloaded the EV_MAX_BLUE_160408_core_140207 firmware as it said it was for clone eurovox. However after the program had finished the UFL downloader stated the process had failed, now the box just shows in the dislpay the letters PEAA. have I blown the box or is there a way i can recover from this?

Many thanks for any help forthcoming.

PEAA is a protection error message basically you may have used the wrong firmware try reflashing with the correct firmware, are you sure of the model type and clone status?

THANK you for your reply I thought i had blown the box up, the box is silver and has euro-vox written on it I know its not a genuine eurovox as i have tried to flash with blue, red and blackbox firmware, everytime I get a warning telling me wrong firmware for the box and wont allow me to flash.

    Model-:DVB XC BOX
    S/W Ver: 10SSNO Nov 29 2005
    H/W Ver: 20 Nov 29 2005
    Bootstrap V00.1

This Is all the information I can get from the box, after reading several post and replys on this forum I was led to the afore mentioned firmware now im stumped again.
can you help to identify the box on the info given and point me as to the firmware needed to update the box.

Once again many thanks for your help.

Sounds like a Eurovox 1 there is a firmware fix for it but you need to jtag it also as the TSOP needs to be wrote over.

It's a clone of a Eurovox 2006 (Blue), is that an EV1? (how can I tell?)
